Liquor Scam Case Filed To Target The Opposition: MLC Kavitha

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 9 (Maxim News): Daughter of BRS Chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and MLC K. Kavitha alleged that the Delhi Liquor Scam case is purely a political partisan case. After Judicial custody ended today, Kavitha was sproduced in Delhi Rouse Avenue Court by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials.

On this occasion, Kavitha made comments criticising the BJP. “I said what I had to say in the Court, the CBI questioned me in the jail, my statement was also recorded. The case was filed to target the opposition, I am asking the people of Telangana not to vote for the BJP, she said.

The ED asked the court to continue the investigation of the Delhi Liquor Policy money laundering case and to extend Kavitha’s judicial custody for another 14 days. The lawyer for ED asked for extension of Judicial custody saying that if Kavitha’s is out, the investigation of the case will be affected. Agreeing with the ED’s arguments, the court extended Kavitha’s Judicial custody for another 14 days. Kavitha will remain in Judicial custody till April 23.  (Maxim News)
