Lockdown violators will be booked: Anjani Kumar Warns People
Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said the police would register cases against all those who come out without proper reason after 6 pm.
“People should support the changes in lockdown relaxations made by the government. We will enforce the lockdown more strictly between 6 pm and 6 am,” he said.
The city police on an average seized 6,000 vehicles every day since the lockdown began on May 12, he said, adding that more than 2,000 police personnel had contracted Covid and 17 city police personnel had lost their lives to the virus.
The Commissioner later participated in an awareness programme on Covid19 precautions and safety measures at Ravindra Bharathi junction.
Vehicle will be seized: Bhagwat
Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat visited the police check-post at Kushaiguda and inspected the lockdown enforcement here on Wednesday. He also interacted with police personnel on duty and supervised vehicle checking.
The Police Commissioner warned lockdown violators that cases will be booked against them and vehicles will be seized. He said the police are permitting the movement of staff of essential services, emergency services, doctors and other paramedical staff on producing valid identity proofs to provide emergency services to those in need.
