Love maniac attacks girl with knife, victim critical

Hyderabad, Feb.6 (Maxim News): A 19-year-old jilted lover on Wednesday attacked a 17-year-old girl with a knife used for cutting coconuts for not accepting his love. The girl sustained grievous injuries on back side of her neck, stomack and fingers in the attack. She has been identified as Chitukuri Madhulika, a resident of Barkathpura. The accused has been identified as Bharat, resident of the same locality.

According to the police, both Madhulika and Bharat are neighbors. The accused has been following the victim and harassing her in the name of love. When the issue came to the knowledge of the accused’s parents, he was immediately taken to Bharosa Center in the city for counseling. However, it did not have any impact on the accused. In fact, it prompted him to call up the mother of the victim and threaten her with facing dire consequences.

The police and the relatives of the victim rushed her to Yashoda hospital at Malakapet. Her condition is said to be critical. The police registered a case against the accused and took up investigation. (Maxim News)
