Mahboob Alam Khan Denies Land Grabbing Charges

  • Advocates Muslim Unity and Affirms Support for Congress in Telangana Elections 2023

Hyderabad, November 22 (Maxim News): Nawab Mahboob Alam Khan emphasized the influential role of Muslims in the upcoming Telangana Elections 2023 during a media briefing on Wednesday.

Khan lamented the disadvantaged status of Muslims, citing their economic vulnerability and historical exploitation.

He recalled his active involvement in the Telangana movement alongside KCR, advocating for the region’s statehood and highlighting the significant contribution of Muslims in the process.

Addressing the issue of reservations, Khan argued for the necessity of affirmative action for development. He criticized the unfulfilled promises made during the BRS rule and highlighted his efforts, including legal actions to reopen 40 colleges.

Despite facing accusations of land grabbing, Khan maintained his innocence and expressed a commitment to ethical conduct rooted in his upbringing.

Khan said that he was falsely accused of land grabbing and said that he has never been involved in such activities and he said it by swearing on Quran.

He also said that he does not know Home Minister Mahamood Ali’s Iman and that his upbringing did not allow him to engage in ugly politics.

He added that he believes that KCR and the BRS Party have come to the conclusion that Muslims will not vote for them and that the mood of Muslims is swinging in favor of the Congress, which has granted 4 per cent reservation.

Turning his attention to the political landscape, Khan asserted that the Muslim community’s expectations from KCR were high, but disillusionment had set in due to unmet promises.

He claimed that the Muslim vote was now swinging in favor of the Congress, which had delivered on a 4% reservation in the medical field.

Responding to allegations from Home Minister Mahmood Ali and the BRS Party, Khan defended himself against personal attacks and pledged to take legal action against false accusations.

He criticized the BRS government for its alleged indifference to the demolition of mosques and expressed concerns about potential future demolitions.

Demolition of mosques

He said that “I honestly state that my entire life, I have worked sincerely and I assure that I will be as sincere as ever, but I have to state that the last decade of BRS rule was not good for the Muslims, a lot of Mosques were demolished like Ek Khana Masjid (Amberpet), Secretariat Masjid, Hashmi Masjid, Khaja Mahmood Masjid and Masjid e Noori in Shamshabad.”

In a direct appeal to the Muslim community, Khan urged them to unite and vote overwhelmingly in favor of the Congress, emphasizing the party’s historical support for their interests.

He portrayed the Congress as the primary force standing against the BJP and its perceived allies, urging voters to question the sincerity of other parties and reject appeasement tactics.
