Hyderabad, Aug 4 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday intensified his attack on BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao, alleging that he performed occult rituals with the intention of harming the State and its people.
Addressing a press conference, Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed there was no secrecy surrounding the allegations and asserted that Harish Rao had visited places known for such rituals. He accused the senior BRS leader of wishing for drought, crop failure and hardships for farmers after the party lost power.
He further alleged that notices issued to Congress leaders Sama Ram Mohan Reddy and Dayakar were also part of a larger political strategy by the BRS.
Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed that Harish Rao visited Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu and Shivamogga in Karnataka, places he alleged are known for occult rituals. He said Harish Rao visited these locations on May 31, June 1 and July 23 and challenged him to disclose his whereabouts on those dates if the allegations were false.
He also questioned why Harish Rao did not post photographs from his Shivamogga visit on social media. He said the BRS leader usually interacts with the media during temple visits, including at Tirupati, but allegedly avoided the media during his visit to Shivamogga.
The TPCC chief said he and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy would respond to the BRS’s questions if Harish Rao first clarified the allegations regarding his visits.
Mahesh Kumar Goud further alleged that the BRS had been associated with occult and tantric rituals since its formation. Referring to earlier allegations about rituals at former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse, he said he had initially dismissed such claims but now had reasons to suspect them in light of the allegations against Harish Rao.
Harish Rao has not publicly responded to the latest allegations.(Maxim News)
