Majlis Charities Educational Trust Aids Nearly 4 Lakh Students

Hyderabad Dec 6 (Maxim News):  The Majlis Charities Educational and Relief Trust has completed twenty years of successful service, providing educational aid to students in government Urdu medium high schools across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

 Since its inception in October 2005, the Salar e Millat scheme has benefited a total of 3,70,693 students till December 2025. This comprehensive scheme covers the distribution of educational kits, payment of SSC exam fees, and provision of the Salar e Millat All in One Model Paper for SSC students. Consequently, the Trust has spent approximately Rs. 9,60,40,223 over the last two decades.

Comprehensive Educational Aid by Majlis Charities

The educational kit, which includes bags and long books for students from 6th to 10th grade, along with guide sets for 6th to 9th grade, is a major component of the scheme. In the 2024–25 academic year, the Trust planned the distribution of educational kits to 14,000 students in July 2024 at a total cost of Rs. 63,50,500. Furthermore, the scheme presently covers 91 Urdu Medium High Schools located across eight Assembly Constituencies. These constituencies include Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Bahadurpura, Yakutpura, Malakpet, Karwan, Nampally, and Goshamahal. For instance, in December 2024, the Trust planned the distribution of All In One Model Papers to 8,000 students, costing Rs. 23,68,000.

In the 2023–24 period, educational kits were distributed to 14,000 students in September 2023, costing Rs. 63,50,500. Additionally, the Trust paid SSC exam fees for 1,459 students in November 2023. This payment amounted to Rs. 1,82,375. The distribution of the All In One Model Papers in January 2024 benefited 8,000 students, costing Rs. 2,36,800. Data for the last twenty years shows that the Majlis Charities Educational Trust distributed 1,96,400 educational kits. Moreover, they paid SSC exam fees for 41,086 students. 

The Trust also recognized 3,207 SSC toppers and distributed 1,30,000 All In One model papers. In the 2025–26 academic year, the Trust intends to distribute educational kits to 12,000 students in July 2025 for Rs. 31,05,150. Subsequently, the SSC exam fees for 1,542 students in 87 schools are scheduled for October 2025, costing Rs. 1,92,750. Similarly, the All In One Distribution for 8,000 students in December 2025 will cost Rs. 24,64,000. The consolidated statement from October 2025 shows 1,542 students benefited from the SSC exam fee payment. This benefit covered 92 schools. Consequently, the highest number of schools were covered in Charminar (13), followed by Karwan (12), and Bahadurpura (11). (Maxim News)
