Hyderabad, July 19: A major fire broke out in an apartment building at Vijayanagar Colony in Mehdipatnam on Sunday. Firefighters brought the blaze under control after nearly an hour, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.
The fire broke out in a bedroom on the fifth floor of the FHASS Apartment. After receiving the alert, Mehdipatnam police rushed to the spot and informed the Fire Department.

Five fire engines were deployed to the scene. Firefighters worked for nearly an hour to douse the flames and successfully contained the fire.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
Preliminary information suggests that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. Mehdipatnam police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. (Maxim News)
