Make Efforts To Double Farmers Income: CS

Hyderabad, Jan. 30 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary SK Joshi today stressed need for increasing the income of farmers in Telangana State.

Releasing a Nabard 2019-20 annual plan at a hotel here, Joshi said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has designed innovative schemes for the benefit of the farmers in the State. There was a need for doubling the income of the farmers and efforts should be made continuously in that direction, he said. Since the TRS government was committed for the welfare of the farmers, efforts should be made at all levels to increase the income of the farmers.

Instructing the officials to make proper use of dwindling water resources, he asked the bankers to give loans to farmers on time. He also instructed the officials to give priority to mechanization in the farming activities to increase production with quality. Joshi opined that the target of the State government to double the income of the farmers will be possible when expenditure was reduced and production was increased. (Maxim News)
