Man Burnt Alive After Truck Catches Fire In State
According to police, the truck owner Mujahid parked it outside his house, which is near the police station, and went to Hyderabad on some work
Nizamabad: A man burnt to death, when fire broke out in a parked truck near Sixth Town police station on Tuesday night. Police do not rule out the possibility of the man committing suicide by self immolation. Investigation is in progress to identify the person, who was charred to death.
However, the police suspected that a short-circuit in the battery caused the fire. They registered a case and launched an investigation.
According to police, the truck owner Mujahid parked it outside his house, which is near the police station, and went to Hyderabad on some work. Local people said they saw an unidentified person moving in the vicinity around midnight and the police warned him to move away from the place. It is suspected that he got into the truck cabin and immolated himself. Local fire station vehicles rushed and doused the fire.
The lorry owner said that the vehicle was parked on the roadside for the last few days and the lorry driver and cleaner were safe. Meanwhile, the unidentified man who was burnt to death in the mishap is yet to be known.
The body was sent for autopsy. Further details about the incident are awaited.
