Khammam, July 18: A 31-year-old man died after allegedly jumping in front of a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGRTC) bus near Kotha Lankapalli in Penuballi mandal of Khammam district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Jangam Ratnakar (31), a resident of Ramanujavaram village in Tallada mandal.
According to the police, Ratnakar was undergoing treatment at the Sathupally Government Hospital. He reportedly left the hospital during the early hours of Friday before the incident occurred.
Police said he allegedly came onto the road near Kotha Lankapalli and was struck by a passing TGRTC bus. He died at the scene.
The body was shifted for post-mortem examination.
Penuballi police registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
