Man Kills Wife And Injures Daughter In Khammam

Hyderabad: A shocking Khammam murder case came to light after a married woman was allegedly killed by her husband at Gattaiah centre under the Two Town police station limits. The incident took place on Thursday and left the area in panic. The deceased, identified as Sai Vani, was 36 years old. According to police, she married Gogula Bhasker Nereda a few years ago in Chintakani mandal and the couple had two children. However, disputes grew between them as Bhasker reportedly suspected her fidelity. Therefore, the couple began living separately.

Police said Sai Vani worked as a nurse at a private hospital in Khammam and looked after the children as Bhasker did not have work. Meanwhile, Bhasker went to her house on Wednesday night. A fight began soon after, and a heated argument continued into the early hours of Thursday. Then, in what police described as a fit of rage, Bhasker, who was in a drunken state, picked up a kitchen knife. He slit her throat and stabbed her several times, leaving her dead in a pool of blood.

The Khammam murder case turned more tragic when the man also attacked his fourteen year old daughter as she tried to stop him. She suffered multiple bleeding injuries on her neck and hands. She was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Their eight year old son escaped from the house in fear as the attack took place.

Later, locals caught Bhasker, thrashed him, and handed him over to police. The Khammam Two Town CI, Bala Krishna, visited the spot and started an investigation into the case. The violent nature of the murder caused fear among residents, and many expressed shock over the attack. Police said they will continue the investigation and gather more details about the events leading to the killing.
