According to ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu, Bikku was caught red-handed during the transaction. The employee had accused the DCO of harassment, as he was seeking to withdraw a complaint, release salaries during suspension, and avoid action based on an inquiry report. The bribe was meant to prevent proceedings against him.

ACB officials revealed that initially, Bikku had demanded Rs. 7 lakh from the employee. Following repeated requests, he agreed to accept Rs. 5 lakh. The employee, however, approached the ACB and helped set up a trap, enabling the bureau to arrest Bikku during the bribe handover.

Following his arrest, Rathod Bikku was produced before a special court for ACB cases in Karimnagar. He was remanded to judicial custody pending further investigation. This case highlights the increasing role of the ACB in tackling corruption within cooperative institutions and government officials.
