MANUU Alumni Association Office Inaugurated In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, inaugurated the new office of the MANUU Alumni Association (MAA) at the Center for Deccan Studies premises. He praised the association’s activities and assured full support to its President, Mr. Aijaz Ali Quraishi.

Prof. Hasan emphasized the need to increase awareness among local students about MANUU’s courses, infrastructure, and facilities to maximize admissions. “During the last 3 months under the ‘Visit Urdu University’ program, more than 1200 school students participated, which is acknowledgeable,” he said. He encouraged the Alumni Association to expand the study program to reach beyond school students. Additionally, the Vice Chancellor pledged to implement Extra Numerical Seats to ensure the admission of as many local students as possible.

The inauguration event also featured remarks from Prof. Syed Najmul Hasan, Coordinator of Alumni Affairs. Other notable attendees included Dr. M. A. Quddus, Assistant Registrar; Mr. Nasir Hussain Shoaib, Secretary of MAA; and Mr. Ayub Khan, Treasurer.

The “Visit Urdu University” program recently included a study tour for students of Dream Birds Concept High School, Bandlaguda, Hyderabad, led by their Headmaster Mr. Ilyas Tahir. The students visited the ITI, Polytechnic, and IMC departments, gaining firsthand exposure to university facilities.

This initiative and the establishment of the new Alumni Association office underline MANUU’s commitment to strengthening ties between the university and its alumni while fostering greater local student engagement through outreach programs and supportive admission policies. The Alumni Association plays a key role in networking and providing guidance for both alumni and current students, supporting MANUU’s educational mission in the region.
