MANUU to launch Master of Vocational Courses: Prof. Ainul Hasan
Hyderabad, April 05: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) will soon be launching Master of Vocational courses and other courses as per the need of the market. University’s health center will also get the services of physiotherapists, skin specialists and cardiologists. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor said today in a ceremony held to distribute appointment orders among the selected students of the final semester of the Bachelor of Vocational course (B.Voc). Among 50 students of the first batch of B.Voc, 16 students were selected by Medicover Hospital in the Radiology & Medical lab department even before their final examination. This first batch finished its six months Internship on 2nd April 2023.
Prof. Ainul Hasan said that the Government of Telangana has approved our Vocational Courses. MANUU is the first University to take a lead in launching Paramedical vocational courses at Bachelor’s level.
Dr. Sharat Reddy, Cardiologist and Executive Director, Medicover Hospitals while addressing said in India medical facilities are increasing and now we are competing with developed countries like Japan. But more human resources are needed in the future. New technologies are emerging in the medical field and the use of artificial intelligence is increasing. The medical departments need to change with time and in this situation, educational institutions should come forward in developing manpower to the growing demand of Industry, he added.
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar congratulated the students and thanked the officials of Medicover Hospital. Dr. Sateesh Kumar Kailasam, Group Medical Director & Academic Director of Medicover India welcomed the selected students in the Medicover family.
Prof. Syed Najamul Hasan, I/c Dean, School of Sciences delivered the welcome address. Prof. S. Maqbool Ahmed, the Nodal officer conducted the proceedings and gave details about the programme. Dr. Syed Salahuddin, Associate Professor, chemistry proposed a vote of thanks.
