Maoist Member Surrender Before DGP
Hyderabad, July 14 (Maxim News): The banned CPI Maoist member Ranjit Alias Srikanth today Surrendered before DGP M. Mahender Reddy in the City.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said that Ranjith surrendered before him as he was not able to cope up with the problems in the banned party. He said that they would give Rs. 4 lakh as financial aid to Ranjith on behalf of the state government. He also said that Ranjith was the son of Warangal based Ramanna and Savithri and added that Ranjith had spent his entire childhood amid the Maoists.
He also said that Ranjith’s father Ramanna had also worked as the secretary of the central committee of the maoists. “ Ranjith had joined the People’s war group in the year 1982. His father Ramanna died of cardiac arrest in the year 2019. Ranjith has been secretly taught by one Nagesh and successfully completed his tenth class. Ramanna died during an encounter in the year 2015. Ranjith has faced a lot of problems after the death of his father and decided to surrender before the police . The surrender of Ranjith was not liked by the members of his party,” he said.
The DGP said that Ranjith had taken part in 21 attacks since the year 2020 and claimed the lives of 49 police personnel. He revealed that the Maoists had captured 12 AK-47 guns, and 14 fire armed weapons . He said that the Maoists central committee has 14 persons from Telangana. He urged the other members of the Maoists to surrender before the police. He said that none had taken over the responsibilities of the party after the encounter of Hari Bhushan while noting that they have learnt one Damodar has been made the incharge of the party.
