HC Expressed Displeasure at GHMC on Bad Conditions of Roads

Hyderabad, July 14 (Maxim News): High Court today expressed displeasure at the GHMC and officials on the bad conditions of roads. Most of the roads have potholes and an old couple is filling up the potholes to avoid accidents. Hearing a case about a retired person Gangadhar Tilak with his wife is repairing the roads for a long time in the city to avoid accidents. The court slammed that it is shame on the part of the GHMC as the Retired man spending his pension amount to close the potholes on the roads.

Why the GHMC officials and the staff are not taking any steps, the court thundered.

Expressing displeasure and surprise at the GHMC and the government, the high court pulled them up. If there are no potholes a team of lawyers will inspect and report, the court said.

The Court asked for zonal wise reports on the repair of the roads and to address woes of rains in the city. This the court rapped the GHMC and the government for its ignorance and negligence to attend to the roads related problems. The Court asked as to why it cannot take serious action on the officials and staff for the bad conditions of the roads in the city.

Every time in rainy season the roads get damaged and inundated with rains, the court observed. The court sought a report and immediate action to close the potholes and repairs on the bad roads. (Maxim News)
