Hyderabad, Sept. 24: Osmania University has extended the last date for registration and submission of online applications for Ph.D. Entrance Test 2026 under Category-II.
According to a press note issued by the Directorate of Admissions on September 24, eligible candidates can now submit their applications until October 5, 2026, without a late fee.
The extension applies to Ph.D. admissions in various subjects offered across different faculties of Osmania University.

The university has advised candidates to carefully check the eligibility requirements, subject-wise availability and other admission guidelines before submitting their applications.
The extension gives eligible candidates additional time to complete the registration and application process for the Category-II Ph.D. Entrance Test 2026.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official Osmania University website and the Directorate of Admissions website for further notifications and updates.
The university conducts Category-II Ph.D. admissions through an entrance test in the concerned subject or an allied subject approved by the university. The university’s Ph.D. regulations provide for an entrance-test-based admission route under Category-II.
