Hyderabad, Sept. 24: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday continued searches in the disproportionate assets case against suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sankireddy Bheem Reddy of Police Computer Services (PCS), under the Office of the Director General of Police, Telangana.
The latest searches were conducted at 10 locations in Hyderabad and Zaheerabad. The operation focused on residences of eight suspected benamis who allegedly had financial and other transactions with Bheem Reddy.
The searches were carried out under warrants issued by the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad. ACB officials examined property documents, financial records and other material allegedly linked to the suspected benami assets.
ACB Continues Searches | Cash, Foreign Currency Found During Searches
According to the ACB, officials recovered ₹1.35 crore in cash from the residence of Bomma Venkatesh during the latest searches. Foreign currency and around 14 litres of foreign liquor were also found.
The ACB informed the Excise Department about the liquor for necessary legal action. Officials are examining the documents and other material seized during the operation as part of the ongoing investigation.
The disproportionate assets case against Bheem Reddy was registered on June 27, 2026, under Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018.
Bheem Reddy was arrested in July after earlier ACB searches at 16 locations linked to him, his relatives, associates and alleged benamis. Those searches uncovered documents relating to multiple properties, cash, gold, silver and other assets.
The ACB has alleged that Bheem Reddy acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income through corrupt practices and dubious means during his service. The allegations remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings.
The latest searches are aimed at tracing the alleged financial links between Bheem Reddy and the suspected benamis. Further details are expected after the ACB completes its examination of the seized material.
