Massive Encounter In Karregutta: Five Maoists Killed

Raipur/Hyderabad, Feb 19 (Maxim News): Another major encounter took place in Chhattisgarh. Five Maoists were killed in security forces’ firing. Security forces launched a combing operation in the Karregutta forest area targeting Maoist leader and party secretary Dev Ji. The Maoists, who were hiding in the Karreguttala, noticed this and opened fire on the security forces. Immediately, the security forces also returned fire.

There was heavy firing from both sides. After some time, the firing from the Maoists stopped. Security forces found the bodies of five Maoists in the area. Security forces said that the death toll is likely to rise. Security forces believe that top leaders may be among the dead

Intelligence agencies have received information that Maoists have entered Karregutta from Madhya Pradesh. In this context, according to the information from the intelligence agencies, security forces have started combing the area. On the other hand, Operation Kagar, launched by the Center to eradicate Maoists in the country, will end in a few days. In this context, the Center is taking steps towards that goal. While hundreds of Maoists have already been killed, thousands have surrendered before the governments of various states. It is known that the government has already arrested many Maoists.

Currently, 15 Maoists from Telangana are absconding. The list includes Rajireddy alias Sangram, key Maoist leader Muppalla Lakshmana Rao alias Ganapathi, Pusunuri Narahari alias Santosh, Muppidi Sambayya, Vartha Shekhar, Jode Ratnabhai, and Bade Chokka Rao.
