Jagtial/Hyderabad, Aug 10 (Maxim News): A fire broke out in the Civil Supplies Department godown located in the agriculture market yard at Metpally on Sunday.
Local residents, noticing flames emerging from the godown, alerted the Fire Services Department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control using two fire tenders.
Gunny bags stored in the godown were completely gutted. Market committee chairman Goverdhan said the damage was estimated at around Rs. 9 lakh. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. (Maxim News)
