Massive Theft At Joyalukkas Store: Employee Arrested 

Hyderabad, Feb. 16 (Maxim News): A Massive Theft has come to light in Hyderabad’s Panjagutta area. The incident occurred at the Joyalukkas jewellery store, where an employee allegedly stole gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore. Police have taken the accused into custody and launched a detailed investigation.

According to initial information, the employee, identified as Ajith, worked at the jewellery showroom. He reportedly stole ornaments gradually over several days. By removing a few pieces daily, he ensured that no immediate suspicion arose. However, the management later noticed discrepancies in the stock. Therefore, they reviewed the CCTV footage.

The CCTV footage reportedly exposed the employee’s role in the theft. After confirming the involvement, the showroom management filed a police complaint.

Subsequently, police traced and detained Ajith for questioning. Investigators are now probing whether the accused acted alone or received help from others during the theft.

Moreover, they are examining how the ornaments were removed without raising alarms within the store. Officials said further details will emerge after a thorough inquiry.

Similar Incident Reported in Banaganapalle

Meanwhile, a similar theft was reported recently in Banaganapalle town. At Sri Srinivasa Gold Shop, unidentified miscreants allegedly stole 18 tolas of gold and 5 kilograms of silver. The estimated value of the stolen ornaments is around Rs 40 lakh.

The accused reportedly broke open the shop lock using gas welding equipment and entered the premises. Following a complaint from the shop owner, police launched an investigation and later apprehended the suspects.

These incidents have raised concerns over security in jewellery establishments. Authorities are now reviewing safety measures while continuing their probe into both cases. (Maxim News)
