Mayor Accepts Green Challenge, Plants Sapling In Maitri Nagar

Hyderabad, Dec.7 (Maxim News): On the occasion of TRS MP J Santosh Kumar’s Birthday, GHMC Mayor Dr Bonthu Rammohan today accepted Green Challenge and planted a sapling in Maitri Nagar here.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rammohan said it was not great celebrating one’s birthday in a grand manner, but it will be better to take to some social activity like distributing alms to the poor, who are in dire need. He also said instead of sending greetings on birthdays, plant saplings which gives oxygen and enables healthy life and also a gift to future generations and clean environment.

The Mayor distributed two cheques of Rs 25,000 each to the artiste families, who are in deep trouble, from the “Nenu Saitham” organization founder Kadambari Kiran. Later, the Mayor exhorted people to emulate Santosh Kumar for his efforts in developing greenery in the State. He also distributed blankets and mosquito nets to workers and inaugurated a health camp.
