Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi lays foundation stone for Rs. 1.71 crore development works in Banjara Hills
Hyderabad, Mar 22 (Maxim News): The state government is focusing on the development of the city and is working to create all the necessary infrastructure facilities for the people, said Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, the city mayor. On Saturday, the mayor laid the foundation stone for various development works to be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 1.71 crore in MLA Colony, Banjara Hills Division.
The Mayor laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the sewage pipeline from Flat No. 160/A to Omega Hospital for Rs. 1.21 crore, for the construction of a main sewerage pipeline from GHMC Park in MLA Colony to MLA Colony Road 12 for Rs. 22 lakhs to prevent sewage leakage and overflow, and for the construction of a 300 mm RCC NPS Shivarez line in place of the sewerage from Flat No. 11B to 2B in MLA Colony at Rs. 28 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that special measures have been taken to resolve the problems of sewage. He said that steps are being taken from time to time to resolve the problems of sewage storage, overflow and leakages and a better sewage system is being made available to the people. He instructed the concerned officials to complete the work as soon as possible.
