Mayor Lakshmi Leads City-Wide Tree Planting in Hyderabad
Mayor Lakshmi | Hyderabad, August 7: Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi planted saplings in the Lotus pond as part of the ‘Swacha Danam Greening‘ programme.
She announced that saplings are being planted on a large scale at 25 ponds here on Wednesday.

Mayor Gadwal emphasized the significant benefits of planting saplings for the ponds, noting that this initiative aims to enhance the city’s environment. Large-scale planting efforts are being carried out in medians, avenues, parks around ponds, empty spaces, and government institutions, ensuring a greener and more pleasant city for its residents.

She also mentioned that homestead plants are being distributed to the public to further promote greenery.
Expressing her happiness, Mayor Lakshmi announced that Hyderabad has received the prestigious Green City Award at the global level. She urged everyone to cooperate in maintaining the city’s beautification and cleanliness.
