The Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination drive by State health authorities, launched on August 17, has evoked positive response from parents, despite some pockets of resistance in the old city. As on Monday, health officials have achieved 55 per cent of the set target under the MR vaccination drive.
Beginning August 17, health authorities have covered 49.36 lakh children under the vaccination drive and authorities aim at reaching out to 90 lakh children, aged from 9 months to 15 years in the State by September 25, the concluding day of MR vaccination drive.
The top performing districts in the initial phase include Kamareddy (77.54 per cent), Rajanna Sircilla (73.89 per cent), Jangaon (72.93 per cent) and Bhadradri Kothagudem (71.19 per cent).
