Hyderabad, Sept 30 (Maxim News): Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R.V.Karnan has announced that meat shops (Non Veg Shops) will be closed on october 2nd.
The Commissioner ordered that meat shops and slaughterhouses be closed within the GHMC limits on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanthi. The Commissioner has issued a statement to this effect.
He reminded that the Standing Committee had approved the closure of meat shops on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi jayanti under Section 533B of the GHMC Act 1955.
The Commissioner has issued instructions to the concerned GHMC officials to take necessary action This time, the meat sellers were confused as Dussehra fell on the same day as Gandhi jayanti. (Maxim News)
