Medicos Stage Protests Against NMC Bill In TS, AP

Hyderabad, July 31 (Maxim News): The decision of the Union government to introduce the newly proposed National Medical Council Bill in Parliament today prompted the medicos in the city to hold massive protest programs. Doctors from the government hospitals organized protests in front of their hospitals demanding that the Centre immediately withdraw the Bill as it would hamper their interests.

They also raised slogans against the bill and boycotted duties as part of their protest programs.

Similar protest programs were held in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh State. The doctors in Guntur and other districts held protests. The doctors from Guntur district hospital held a dharna before the hospital. The doctors said the bill would also have impact on poor and needy people and medical students of the two States.(Maxim News)
