Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 SUV launched In India: Price Is Here

Mercedes-Benz India, the renowned luxury car manufacturer, has unveiled the EQE 500 All Electric Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in India, marking the brand’s third electric vehicle (EV) launch in the country.

Notably, the EQE 500 4MATIC is subject to a substantial import duty exceeding 100 percent due to its production location in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Unveiling the EQE 500 All Electric SUV

The EQE 500, an all-electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) by Mercedes-Benz, is built on the versatile EVA platform.

Mercedes-Benz India’s Managing Director and CEO, Santosh Iyer, expressed the company’s commitment to fortifying its presence in the Indian luxury electric vehicle market through the EQE electric SUV, which seamlessly combines luxury features with cutting-edge technology, connectivity, and more within the electric car segment.

Powering the Drive: EQE 500’s Advanced Lithium-Ion Battery

Under the hood, the EQE 500 boasts a robust 90.56 kWh lithium-ion battery, capable of generating 300 kW of maximum power and a peak torque of 858 Nm.

This formidable battery provides an impressive range of 550 kilometers on a single charge, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a swift 4.9 seconds.

With a top speed of 210 kilometers per hour, this all-electric SUV features a cutting-edge three-screen 56-inch Hyperscreen dashboard, incorporating a fully digital instrument cluster, advanced infotainment unit, and a display for front passengers.

The infotainment system operates on the updated MBUX operating system.

Luxurious Features and Safety: Inside the EQE 500 SUV

The EQE 500 offers a host of features, including steering-mounted controls, multi-zone climate control, plush leatherette upholstery, and electrically adjustable seats.

Safety-wise, it comes equipped with nine airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and traction control.

Notably, Mercedes-Benz sets an industry precedent by offering a remarkable 10-year battery warranty—the first of its kind in India.

The car also integrates a convenient charging network into a dedicated app and provides access to an ultra-fast charging network.

Pricing and Competition: EQE 500’s Entry into the Indian Market

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the EQE 500 all-electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) to the Indian market with an enticing ex-showroom price of Rs 1.39 crore.

This captivating EV will compete against rivals like the Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW iX, and Jaguar I-Pace, offering Indian buyers a luxurious and eco-friendly driving option in the premium SUV segment.
