MIM MPs Voted Against The Bill Because Women Have No Rights In Islam: BJP MP’s Sensational Comments

Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): While saying that they are not against any religion and respect all religions equally, some BJP leaders make sensational comments on Islam. They have been bringing the Hindu-Muslim issue to the fore again and again for their political self-interest.

New disputes are sown in unnecessary matters.  Now another BJP leader has done the same thing.  BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar has made controversial comments on two MPs from the AIMIM party voting against the Women’s Reservation Bill passed by the Lok Sabha.  they argued that women do not have rights in Islam and that is why the two MPs voted against this bill.

The Women’s Reservation Bill (Narishakti Vandan Vidhayak) was introduced by the Center as part of the special session of the Parliament on Tuesday and the Lok Sabha approved it on Wednesday (September 20).  However, AIMIM MPs Asaduddin Owaisi and Imtiaz Ali voted against this bill.

Jagannath Sarkar has given a strong counter to the AIMIM MPs saying, “Women have no rights in Islam. That is why they both voted against women.  But our leader Prime Minister Modi has both policies and intentions.  BJP works on facts, he said. At the same time, Owaisi clarified why he voted against this bill, saying that they are fighting for the reservation of Muslim and OBC women in Parliament.

After a long debate in the Lok Sabha, this bill was approved.  All opposition parties including Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP), BMK, and TMC supported the bill in the House.  But the Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM)  opposed the bill.  454 votes were cast in favor of this bill and two votes were cast against it.  This bill will be approved and debated in the Rajya Sabha today.
