Hyderabad, March 30 (Maxim News): Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud said officials concerned to ensure lockdown norms and closure of wine shops. He asked them to identify such persons, who behave strangely due to non-availability of liquor as shops closed down after corona scare.
The minister held a review and took stock of reports that some drunkards were creating panic at Erragadda Mental Hospital with family members. There were some persons behaving in a strange manner as they could not get wine items as the shops closed due to corona crisis and prevailing lockdown in the State. He also said they may be offered counselling to overcome the problem.
“Yoga, meditation and exercise will help to see that the problem is addressed. Also encouraging them to play chess and carrom board will help divert mind. Motivate and guide the families to overcome the problem”, he said.
As per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao direction to ensure lockdown to check corona virus spread, he said. He also asked them to effectively monitor the closure of the wine shops. Goud said
that those workers stranded due to corona crisis get food and accommodation in shelters as stated by the Chief Minister. (Maxim News)
