Minister KTR Glad On Tree City Award To Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Feb.18 (Maxim New): IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao today expressed happiness that Hyderabad has got another feather of the Tree city of the world in India. This can be attributed to the pious programs of green expansion through a flagship Haritha Haram program the minister pointed out.
The IT and Municipal Minister who also holds the industry wing has asserted that the city of global level is bestowed with another global award.
Urban Day Foundation which works in collaboration with Food and Agriculture organization (FAO) of the United Nations has accorded this award to our city of pearls. Indeed the global city of Hyderabad is getting green with continuous programs of green cover expansion. On February 17 Koti Vriksharchana program was taken up in Telangana and Hyderabad to mark the 67th birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Taking to twitter, the minister stated that US based Urban Day Foundation which works in collaboration with Food and Agriculture organization (FAO) of UNO (United Nations Organization) has offered this award. He shared the certificate offered in this regard.
It is proud moment that Hyderabad is the only city in India to get such an international award he said. The minister stated our efforts for Haritha Haram through green cover expansion of massive tree plantation gives this type of results he added.
The minister expressed happiness that the award comes at a time when it was achieving the best results in green cover expansion in the state of Telangana.
Hyderabad city which is growing as an international hub for IT and development was awarded with Tree City of the World by a US based company. (Maxim News)
