Indian-Origin Man and Daughter Shot Dead at Convenience Store in Virginia
New York/Internet/Hyderabad, March 23 (Maxim News): A 56-year-old Indian-origin man and his 24-year-old daughter were shot dead at a convenience store in Virginia, USA. The police have arrested one suspect in connection with the crime, according to media reports.
Father and Daughter Killed in Early Morning Shooting
The victims, Pradipkumar Patel and his daughter were working at a store on Lankford Highway in Accomack County when the shooting took place. Accomack County is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
According to the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call shortly after 5:30 AM on March 20, reporting a shooting incident.
Victims Found with Gunshot Wounds
Upon arrival, police found Pradipkumar Patel unresponsive with gunshot wounds. While searching the store, they also discovered his daughter with gunshot injuries.
- Pradipkumar Patel was pronounced dead at the scene.
- His daughter was rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
