Minister Slams Naidu For Making Jealousy Remarks On AP-TS Cordial Relations
Hyderabad, July 26 (Maxim News): Excise & Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud today criticized Telugu Desam party chief N Chandrababu Naidu for making “jealousy” remarks over friendly relations between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Srinivas Goud accused Naidu of failing to digest better relations between the two Telugu States with regard to sharing of Godavari and Krishna waters for irrigation. “There was a dire need for maintaining friendly relations between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States and the former chief minister could not digest it”, he charged.
When Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was extending a hand to his AP counterpart Jagan Mohan Reddy to share the river waters across the table amicably, what is the problem for the Leader of the Opposition of Andhra Pradesh”, he wondered. The TDP chief, during his regime failed to tap Godavari waters, which went waste into the sea, he alleged. However, the YSRCP Government was now seeking help from the upper Telangana State and KCR is all for help to irrigate crops in that State also, he clarified.
The former chief minister was only making criticism for political mileage and the people are unhappy with his hostile attitude in this regard, the minister said. Srinivas Goud sought to know as to why the TD chief was resorting to false criticism against Jagan Mohan Reddy regime, which comes forward to get Godavari water share with Telangana and what is wrong in it, he asked. Naidu’s charges are baseless in this regard, while other States are appreciating the two Telugu States for sharing river waters amicably.
“During successive governments, community professions were destroyed. Now the TRS Government was providing Rs 5 lakh financial assistance to the kin of taddy tappers for accidental death. The government has already issued orders canceling the pending arrears”, he said. He also said toddy trees were being chopped off to push the real estate business in Hyderabad, which was not correct. The trees give all support to the mankind, he said and asked people to share photos of chopping of trees if any one violates the law. The government will take stringent action against those who chop trees, he said. (Maxim News)
