Minister Warns Of Action Against Child Rights Violators
Hyderabad, Nov.14 (Maxim News): Minister for women and Child Welfare Sathyavathi Rathod today promised to implement child welfare Act efficiently in the state.
Participating in the National Children Day at Ravindra Bharathi here, the minister vowed to protect child rights and their welfare through the Act. She expressed concern that several children are languishing in Juvenile Homes without any crimes on their part. Such children will be protected and welfare measures will be taken, she said. She warned of serious action against those who violate the rights of the children in the state.
She said that the previous congress government has neglected children’s issues. However, she claimed that the TRS government has been implementing the Acts and schemes for children welfare. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for the cause of women and child welfare. Under KCR’s leadership, the youngest state of Telangana is making rapid strides in all sectors, the Minister said and added that KCR Kits, nutritional programs in Anganwadis are successful in the state.(Maxim News)
