KTR Starts Many Works In Kukatpally—Hands Over 108 DB Houses To Poor

Hyderabad, Nov.14 (Maxim News): IT and Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao, Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy today inaugurated the two bedroom housing units at Chittaramma basti in Kukatpally segment here.

Along with Mayor B Rammohan and local MLA M Krishna Rao and officials, the ministers launched 108 houses for the poor. The government has spent about Rs 9.34 crops for construction of these houses.

The ministers formally launched the houses and handed over the keys and documents of ownership to the beneficiaries. The houses were given free of cost for the poor as dignity houses for self respect in the state.

During a whirlwind tour of Kukatpally Assembly constituency, Rama Rao laid foundation for a road over bridge at Kaitlapur with an estimated cost of Rs. 83 crore, besides inaugurating a sports complex and a fish market.

The tour commenced with the inauguration of the Indoor Shuttle Court at Gayathri Nagar in Ayyappa society. GHMC constructed the Shuttle court at a cost of Rs. 86 Lakhs. This was followed with the inauguration of a Mini Indoor Stadium at 6th phase, KPHB colony. The mini indoor stadium is equipped with four shuttle courts and a swimming pool. GHMC constructed the facility at a cost of Rs. 5.65 crores.

The Minister also inaugurated a modern, integrated wholesale Fish Market near Rajiv Circle at KPHB Colony, constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.78 Crores and it has 91 fish stalls.

The much awaited construction of a Railway over Bridge at Kaitalapur commenced as the Minister laid the foundation stone for the structure estimated to cost of Rs. 83 crores, out of which the Railways has allocated Rs.18.06 crores, while the GHMC will spend Rs.40 crore for approach roads and another Rs.25 crore for land acquisition.(Maxim News)
