MLAs Poaching Case: SC Refused To Grant Stay On CBI Investigation In, Adjourned To July 31

Delhi/Hyderabad, Mar 13 (Maxim News): The Supreme Court which has taken up the hearing of BRS MLAs poaching case has rejected the plea of the Dushyant Dave Advocate on behalf of the Telangana government to grant a stay on CBI investigation in the case. However, the Court has decided to stay the investigation till July 31.

The Supreme Court has issued orders to stay the investigation as the case is currently under the purview of the court, it has been clarified that there is no need to submit the investigation details to the CBI till then. The Supreme Court bench issued an order adjourning the next hearing on July 31.

It may be recalled that the State government headed by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has already asked for a stay on the CBI investigation several times, the Supreme Court rejected that decision. It seems that the CBI investigation has been postponed for the time being with the status quo given by the Court. Challenging the earlier verdict of the High Court, the Telangana government approached the Supreme Court. (Maxim News)
