MLAs Purchase Case: HC To Hear Again On Dec. 7

Hyderabad, Dec 6 (Maxim News): The High Court of Telangana adjourned the hearing of the MLAs purchase case till December 7 (tomorrow).

Supreme Court Advocate Dushyant Dave on behalf of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and Mahesh Jethamalani on behalf of the accused heard the arguments. Mahesh Jethmalani asked the court to order an investigation with the CBI, saying that he did not trust the SIT in the MLA purchase case. He said that the false cases were filed for political gain. He said that those who are not related to the case have been included in the FIR list.

Dushyant Dave, who argued on behalf of the SIT said that although the orders of the division bench were very clear, it was not reasonable to ask for an inquiry with the CBI. He rejected the claim that the SIT investigation was not being conducted properly. It was argued that the three were found red-handed in the MLA purchase case and that they were trying to protect them as if they had nothing to do with the accused. It was brought to the attention of the court that the comments made by the accused were revealed in the FSL lab. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the court adjourned the hearing. The arguments will be heard again tomorrow. (Maxim News)
