MLC Schedule Released In Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati, Feb.18 (Maxim News): The schedule for conducting elections to MLC seats in the state has been released today. The Election Commission of India has released the notification to conduct the elections.

The elections will be held on March 15. The nomination process would begin from February 25 and the last date to submit the nomination is March 4. The scrutiny of the nominations will be held March 5. The last date for the withdrawal of the nomination papers is March 8. The polling for the elections will be held on from 9 am to 4 pm on the Election Day. The counting will be held on the same day from 5 pm in the evening.

The term of the four sitting MLCs would expire on March 29 of the next month. The by-elections will be held for the vacant MLC seats of Pilli Subash Chandra Bose, who had resigned from his post to become a Rajya Sabha MP and Challa Ramakrishna Reddy , whose seat fell vacant after his death.
