Opposing the religious minority status awarded to Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), Modi govt filed an affidavit in Delhi High Court. It must be noted that it is contrary to stand taken by Congress-led UPA government.
The revised affidavit, filed on 5 March, contests order of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI), which recognises JMI as religious minority institution.
