Meanwhile, police have registered an attempt to murder case against Rohith Reddy, his brother Rithish Reddy, and Namit Sharma. Authorities have also invoked several laws, including the NDPS Act, Arms Act, Excise Act, and BNS provisions. The case includes 12 sections, prompting the formation of a SIT for a detailed investigation.

The SIT has been questioning seven accused in the case since Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, officials continued the interrogation for nearly eight hours. They recorded statements from Kaushik Ravi, Sharath Kumar, Arjun Reddy, Ramesh, Shravan Kumar, and Vijay Krishna. According to sources, all of them said they attended the party only after Rohith Reddy invited them. They also stated that they did not arrive together but reached the farmhouse at different times starting from 6 pm on the 13th.

However, officials reportedly offered to send the accused to an addiction centre. The accused refused this option, even though authorities had suggested it at the time of case registration. This development has added another layer to the ongoing investigation.

SIT intensifies probe into CCTV footage and evidence

The SIT has now shifted focus to CCTV footage from the farmhouse and nearby residential areas. Officials issued notices to collect footage and are reviewing nearly 100 cameras. They aim to gather technical evidence to confirm whether Namit Sharma fired shots under instructions from Rohith Reddy and his brother.

Meanwhile, three accused are in remand at Chanchalguda jail. SIT officials believe that custodial interrogation could reveal more details. A petition seeking custody was heard in Upparpally court on Wednesday. However, the court adjourned the hearing to the 23rd.

In addition, the SIT is probing the drug procurement angle. During questioning, Rohith Reddy’s driver Sharath reportedly said that the drugs were purchased in Hyderabad from a software employee named Abhishek Singh. This claim is now under verification as part of the wider investigation.
