Hyderabad, March 11 (Maxim News): Finance Minister T Harish Rao today offered silk clothes to Goddess Vaba Durga Bhavani Matha at Edupayala temple in Medak district along with MLA Padma Devender Reddy and collector here.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister greeted people to mark Maha Shivaratri festival. He stated that Rs 36 Cr being spent for a 100 ft road to the temple from Potham Shettipally. Rao said that facilities will be made available at the temple including water, power, washroom, ATM police out post for security, convention center and others he said.
He said that Telangana Government is giving ars 1 Cr for the development of the temple. I prayed the
goddess and Lord Shiva to bless people to be happy and prosperous the minister stated.
Telangana Government irrigated 1 crore acres and set a record by cultivating paddy in 1 cr acres he said. The dates and the district will get waters of Singur and Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project he said. In combined state there was no development as the successive governments failed to give funds he said.
However Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been developing all districts he claimed. He hoped that the devotees coming to the temple will avail of the facilities. (Maxim News)
