Hyderabad, Sept.15 (Maxim News): Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy today informed the Council that schools, colleges will be opened at a later date due to corona pandemic.
During question hour in the upper house, the minister clarified that online classes were started in Telangana to get rid of corona spread. As per surveys conducted, 85 percent people have TV facility, 40 percent students have smart phones for on-line classes. The rest are attached to others with such facilities and officials are monitoring effectively, the minister said.
Through T-Sat channels and Doordarshan online classes are being conducted successfully she claimed. The Chief minister has warned the private schools and colleges if collect more fees than the regular fees she said. We gave set up a task force to check the same.
As per Centre and ICMR guidelines, the government has taken steps to address the corona problem. Since the virus spread is more the government shut the schools, colleges in March she said.
Sabitha said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a, decision and passed all 19 the class students in the state. Now that the corona spread is yet to be prevented the government vegan online classes instead. It will take some more time for us to reopen the schools and colleges in Telangana. On this the government is to take a decision followed by centre nod she said. (Maxim News)
