Yunus said, “Bangladesh has great economic potential with Nepal, Bhutan and the Seven Sisters. The seas that Bangladesh has are just borders. These seas are just channels to the world economy.” Yunus’s malicious intent is clearly understood in specifically mentioning the Seven Sisters of India along with Nepal and Bhutan. The seven states in the northeastern region of India are called the Seven Sisters. They are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. When mentioning these states, Yunus should have mentioned India. But, to provoke our country, he said the Seven Sisters. On the one hand, Yunus, who failed to stop the civil war in Bangladesh, is making such derogatory comments about India.

He has made anti-India comments in the past as well. He has called the Seven Sisters region a landlocked area. He has asked China to dominate this area. A full-fledged government will be formed in Bangladesh on Tuesday. Tariq Rahman will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of the BNP there this evening. (Maxim News)
