Mumbai on high alert over text from Pakistan phone threatening 26/11-like attack
After receiving many texts recently from a Pakistani number threatening an attack akin to the 26/11 terror strikes, Mumbai police issued an alarm. These messages reached the police two days after the armed boat came ashore in Raigad. The threats were taken seriously by the police. following the message’s receipt. Both the city police force and the Maharashtra State Anti-Terrorism Squad were placed on alert.
The required actions are being done to look into the threat messages. The investigation has started with the crime branch.
The Mumbai Police Commissioner stated, ‘We are on high alert regarding coastal security and are working with Coast Guard.
