In this context, CM Revanth held a Zoom meeting with ministers and PAC leaders on February 2 to discuss strategies related to the upcoming municipal elections.
The meeting was attended by State Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, several ministers, and PAC members. During the interaction, CM Revanth focused on election planning and campaign execution. He asked leaders to work together and ensure that the party secures a strong win in the municipal elections. Addressing the leaders, CM Revanth said, “The victory in the municipal elections is ours, the surveys are giving feedback that we are winning with a good majority. We should all work together. Take care without rebels. We should make those who have worked for the party win. if there are strong leaders who did not get tickets, give them a chance in corporation posts. Those who finalize the candidate should take responsibility for the victory. Each candidate should prepare a manifesto locally. We should increase pressure on the Center to provide reservation to BCs as per Rahul Gandhi’s promise.” His remarks underlined the leadership’s concern over rebel candidates and internal competition.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also made it clear that leaders must manage ticket distribution carefully. He asked them to prevent rebels from harming the party’s prospects. Therefore, he advised offering alternative roles to strong leaders who did not receive tickets. He also emphasized local planning, asking each candidate to prepare a local manifesto that reflects ground-level issues.
Later, party sources said CM Revanth is preparing for an extensive district tour. The municipal elections will be held on February 11, while counting will take place on February 13.
