Lucknow/Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News) Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has issued a warning to Muslims on the issue of offering prayers on roads. Participating in an event held in Lucknow on Monday, he ordered that Muslims in the state should not offer prayers on roads from now on. He warned that legal action will be taken if they do so. He said that roads are for the convenience of transportation and no one has the right to block the movement of people and traffic. He commented that the law is equal for everyone and everyone should respect the government’s rules.
He said that some Muslims make excuses that there is not enough space at home to pray. He suggested that if there is no space, the population should be reduced accordingly. He also warned against coming to the roads and offering prayers. While offering prayers is mandatory, they should adjust the time and offer prayers in shifts. He said that the government will not stop this. But he made it clear that the roads will not be used.
It is known that CM Yogi Adityanath recently visited West Bengal. Even then, he made similar comments about population control and prayers on the roads. With this, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party strongly condemned Yogi’s comments. Recently, a video in which he said that these rules will be strictly implemented in UP is currently going viral on social media. There is a discussion on this decision taken by Yogi in both political circles and social media. (Maxim News)
