My Bharat Invites Youth To Enroll As Civil Defence Volunteers
Delhi/Hyderabad, May 12 (Maxim News): My Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, government of India, is actively mobilising youth across the country to enrol as MY Bharat Civil Defence Volunteers.
This nationwide call is part of a concerted effort to empower young citizens to take up vital roles in national causes, particularly during emergencies and crises. The initiative aims to build a well-trained, responsive, and resilient volunteer force that can complement civil administration in times of natural disasters, accidents, public emergencies, and other unforeseen situations, a press release said.
In view of the current scenario and emerging security concerns, there is an urgent and growing need to establish a robust, community-based response mechanism.
Civil Defence Volunteers play a critical role in this regard by supporting local authorities through a wide range of services. These include rescue and evacuation operations, first aid and emergency care, traffic management, crowd control, public safety, and assisting in disaster response and rehabilitation efforts.
