Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): The Nagole police have solved the murder of A Manga, who was allegedly lured to an isolated location on the promise of money and killed.
The suspects, P Yellaiah and Sitarama Raju alias Ram, who are addicted to alcohol and other vices, used to befriend women at daily-wage labour points and lure them to secluded places by promising money.
According to the police, on September 28, the duo met Manga near the Kamineni Hospital junction and arranged to meet her the following day. On September 29, they allegedly borrowed Rs 5,000 from a relative and called her to Jaipuri Colony.
After she arrived in the morning, they promised to pay her and took her to an isolated spot along the 100-Feet Road with liquor and water.
After the three consumed alcohol, Manga reportedly demanded the promised money. The accused allegedly assaulted her, with one pushing her to the ground while the other held her legs. One of them then pressed his foot against her neck, causing her to lose consciousness. Believing her to be dead, the duo fled from the spot.
During the investigation, Nagole police analysed the victim’s and suspects’ call detail records and mobile tower locations to establish their movements and identify the accused.
Police said the duo confessed to the crime during questioning. They were arrested on Thursday night and produced before the magistrate and remanded in judicial custody. (Maxim News)
