Nalgonda Flyover | Hyderabad, July 8 (Maxim News): The Nalgonda Flyover will be completed and made ready for inauguration by the first week of August, with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner directing officials to speed up all pending works during an inspection of the project on Tuesday.
Accompanied by the Chief Engineer and senior engineering officials, the Commissioner reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction and held discussions with the executing agencies to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeline.
Nalgonda Flyover | GHMC Pushes for Timely Completion
During the inspection, the Commissioner instructed officials to accelerate the execution of all remaining civil and finishing works. He directed the engineering teams to complete the laying of the bituminous (BT) road on the flyover and adjoining service roads, construct the up-ramp on the Akbarbagh side, finish the remaining ramps, install crash barriers, and complete road markings and street lighting without delay.

He also stressed the need to expedite horticulture and landscaping works beneath the flyover, along with other finishing touches, to ensure the project is fully ready for public use.
Emphasising strict adherence to the deadline, the Commissioner instructed officials to complete every pending activity by the first week of August so that the flyover can be inaugurated and opened to commuters as scheduled.
The GHMC said the project is being closely monitored to ensure timely completion, and once operational, the Nalgonda Flyover is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity in the surrounding areas.
