According to officials, several government agencies are investigating the fire accident. Meanwhile, GHMC moved to revoke both the trade licence and the occupancy certificate of the furniture showroom. The civic body also restricted the establishment from starting business anywhere within GHMC limits. Khairatabad Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasulu confirmed the action and said the restrictions apply across the city limits. Therefore, the showroom will not be allowed to operate at any other location under GHMC jurisdiction.

The fire accident raised wider concerns about compliance with safety norms in commercial spaces. As investigations continue, authorities stressed the need for strict checks. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency, HYDRA, issued an advisory to shops and commercial complexes that do not comply with fire safety rules. HYDRA gave a one month reprieve before starting any seizure drive. Officials said this period would allow owners to correct violations and improve safety standards.

HYDRA also advised shopkeepers to avoid storing large quantities of flammable materials. These include clothes, plastic items, paint, oil, chemical containers, acid, tyres, fibre items, and foam. Officials warned that such storage increases fire risk and can lead to serious loss of life and property. Therefore, they urged traders to follow safety norms strictly to avoid accidents.

In addition, HYDRA warned against allowing families of watchmen to live in cellars. It also advised shop owners not to set up canteens for cooking inside commercial buildings. Officials said such practices pose a major safety threat, especially during emergencies. Later, they stressed that enforcement action would begin after the one month period if violations continue.
